The Hamilton Music Collective is a network of highly accomplished musicians, respected educators and experienced industry professionals dedicated to inspiring and growing audiences for jazz and its related forms in Hamilton. With the much acclaimed Darcy Hepner Jazz Orchestra and a comprehensive array of national and international guest artists, the Hamilton Music Collective advances a unique vision for the continued development of high quality music events in our community producing a year-round schedule of performance, education and lectures for audiences of all ages.

HAMILTON'S MUSICAL MOVEMENT FOR 2011

Empowering Children Through Music
An initiative led by the Hamilton Music Collective (HMC) in partnership with the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra and the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board, An Instrument For Every Child (AIFEC) is a visionary music project aimed at providing Hamilton’s elementary school children with the opportunity to learn to play an instrument.  Read more. Jazz in the Hubs bringing free, interactive concerts to 1,000 school kids

More than 1,000 elementary school children in Hamilton’s lower city neighbourhoods experienced free, interactive and hands-on jazz concerts in May 2010 through Jazz in the Hubs, an innovative program presented by the Hamilton Music Collective, Mohawk College and supported by the Hamilton Community Foundation and Long & McQuade Musical Instruments. Read more.
